Project Description
Our team of five artists spent three months spread over about a year glazing, gilding, and hand-painting the walls, trim, and ceilings in most of the public spaces in this 9,500 square foot residence. Our work was commissioned on behalf of the homeowner by the Interior Designer responsible the look and feel of every space in the residence.
Unlike most of the murals we paint for ceilings, this one was actually painted directly on the ceiling.
Gilding throughout the residence was executed with Dutch metal.
Work in progress
Graining the library doors, windows, and trim in dark-stained walnut, and gilding the panel mouldings and an accent strip on the crown moulding in Dutch metal.
